Just install it and see if you have any luck. PP is of course open and therefore you can feed whoever you want. You are in an area they do not have coverage at present so you might be able to get a receiver but be aware that you cannot share the data with anyone else. They can offer a free receiver or a free copy of PP. I would suggest that you do the 21 day trial of Planeplotter although it may benefit you looking at. If you can get a minimum of three receivers about 50 miles apart, you might be on a winner. It comes down to basic triangulation, there needs to be more of you seeing the same aircraft for an MLAT fix, either on FR24 or Planeplotter. I have taken a quick look at the hex codes on your screen grab, I have to say it is most unlikely that anyone can help you with this, even Planeplotter (PP). Perhaps you can provide some more detail, screenshots etc so that we can help more. I suspect that this is the reason why the positions are not shown on FR24, a lack of feeders in your area. I have taken a look at the PP sharers map and you are pretty much alone up where you are so there is clear doubt as to whether PP's MLAT feature would work. You do require other sharers to be in your area for this feature to work.

This works by multiple users reporting the aircraft and the software doing some clever mathematics to display the location, similar to triangulation but much more advanced. If it is the former then depending on location you may be able to use Planeplotter which enables a user to plot the positions of aircraft which do not transmit their position. When you say they are displayed in RTL1090, is that in the list or the graphical map display? If it is the latter then VRS should be able to display the same data.

With regard to your question about displaying the water bomber's, it all depends on whether they are fitted with full mode-s or not. You cannot share that data with any other sites such as Planefinder and VRS World. If you do have an FR24 box, any data from that cannot be shared with any other site however you can use a local copy of VRS to display the data. Provided you are not running an FR24 supplied box, which I assume you are not, then you are at liberty to run and display what you want. The only reason for not running the FR24 client and VRS is machine resources. Welcome to VRS, we are here to help you understand the software.īefore we start, let me clear up one thing.
